Assisted the manager in the day to day running of the Womenswear department including people management and training plus planning events.

Spent three months as a reporter at the Whitchurch Herald in Shropshire. Most of my articles were published, including a few longer features that I sourced information and interviews for. Also wrote stories for sister title, the Oswestry and Border Counties Advertiser.

Worked in various roles across the store, increasing hours and responsibilities during holidays from college and university. Became a supervisor after finishing university and later took on an acting manager role for three months. Transferable skills included working with the public, people skills, methodological working and solving problems. Responsible for rotas and planning, shrinkage and quality control.
