Serve as the primary geologist for the North Dakota Industrial Commission, Department of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas Division. Provide geologic expertise to aid the Commission in decision making. Ensure operator compliance with various provisions of the North Dakota Century Code (Chapter 38-08) by enforcing applicable North Dakota Administrative Code requirements (Chapter 43-02-03). Evaluate cement bond and casing inspection logs. Interpret oil reservoir properties and determine original oil in place using open hole logs (Resistivity, Density, Sonic, etc.) for geologic properties and the picking of formation tops. Evaluate and question the testimony/exhibits presented by industry at public commission hearings.
