MBA polymers is a plastics recycling and compounding business Turning Automotive Shredder Residue Residue (ASR) into high quality plastic compounds finding a huge range of applications within the construction, packaging and Automotive industries. MBA uses state of the art separation technologies to deconstruct the non metal waste component from recycling vehicles before compounding within their multi-million pound purpose built facility in North Notts. My role is to use customer feedback and experience gained from previous roles to drive improvement in product quality and performance.

Regain Polymers is a technical plastics compounder supplying 100% recycled plastics compounds into a wide range of polymer processing applications such as injection moulding, extrusion and blow-moulding. My expertise is in assessing the strengths and weaknesses of potential new sources and combining them in new ways to create new products. My understanding of polymer processing techniques and my MSc in Polymer science enable me to tailor polymer compounds to individual customer requirements and use additives to best effect to create real material cost savings and enhance customer green credentials. My role includes ..New Product Development – work with the commercial team to develop viable polyethylene, polypropylene, HIPS and ABS products for our customers, this involves formulating trial blends in the lab, managing production trials and assess viability and qualityCustomer Development & Trials – developed strong customer relationships by defining amanufacturing route and carrying out testing and production trials to ensure the suitability of the product at our customer site. Customers included One Plastics Group, Bolton Plastics, RGE Mouldings.Technology Partnerships – I developed a working partnership with Dow Chemicals in the USAto drive novel new products through extensive development using Dow’s state of the art resources to create a world-leading bespoke product for making durable and lightweight wheelie-bins to exacting European performance standards

LINPAC Plastics Featherstone produces a range of expanded polystyrene foam products. LINfresh plus is a development of that product incorporating an absorbent core in the base of the tray. I assumed responsibility fro the development ream at a critical point in the project.

Developed the LINfresh range including improvements in the barrier films applied to the product. The range of fresh meat trays were used throughout most large supermarket chains including Tesco
