Richard is a Chartered Professional Structural Engineer with over 16 years’ experience in Ports and Marine industry. During this time, Richard has worked on numerous onshore & marine structural engineering projects, including Land-backed Wharves (including sheet pile and block wall structures), Iron-Ore and LNG Wharves/Terminals, Tug Berthing Facilities, Desalination Plants and other onshore structures. Through the successful completion of these projects, Richard has demonstrated experience in:~ Designing steel and reinforced concrete structures to Australian and International Standards; ~ Undertaking studies/reviews (e.g. value engineering studies, scoping studies and peer reviews);~ Undertaking inspections and condition assessment of marine facilities and onshore structures;~ Developing costed asset management plans for existing and proposed marine structures;~ Providing technical support to construction works on numerous of occasions; and~ Participating in the development of proposals.Richard is also a graduate of the University of Western Australia with two honours degrees in Civil/Structural Engineering and Computer & Mathematical Sciences.Richard has experiences with:~ Engineering packages including: Space Gass, WALLAP, Limcon, RAPT and Strand7.~ Software languages including Matlab, Visual Basic, C#, Python, and Java (various levels of experience).~ Microsoft Office (with extensive experience in Excel developing design calculations).
