IT specialist: I am responsible for administration of multiple Wordpress websites, including content management, system management and customisation via theme functions in PHP. I have also done additional development of an in-house CRM system written in PHP and using MySQL. Improvements to this have included adding database indexes to improve query performance. I support my colleagues with any phone or computer problems they have, mainly remotely since COVID. I administer the VOIP phone system. Recently, I used Python and AI tools to search an email store for possible clients.Pictures Editor: I select photos, either free-to-use or from Shutterstock, to illustrate articles on the websites. Until the publication went 100% online, I was responsible for creating print magazine layouts using InDesign.Writer: I have written a number of articles for the magazine, mostly on technology, including a regular column on electric vehicles.

Web Programmer: I was responsible for the technical and programming side of two complete website renovations for the car rental side of the business, plus a new website for car parking, all in classic ASP and ASP.NET, working with an in-house designer. I also produced mobile versions of these sites working to a bespoke design commissioned from an external company.Database Administrator: I was responsible for maintenance, installation and backup of both SQL Server and MySQL.Systems Administrator: I was responsible for maintenance of the linux server used for email and also for various non-core web systems. In my time there I completed two full migrations to new servers of these systems. I also configured and maintained the pfSense firewall.

I developed a new web-based property management system in ASP.NET on a MySQL database. This incuded separate public websites for commercial property and investment property, and had the capacity to be expanded in the future. The company was also planning to package the software for sale to other estate agencies, either as a hosted service or as a software package for installation on the customer's own server.

I was responsible for the accounts systems and their integration with the rest of the systems in the firm. I was also responsible for the database servers for other systems such as intranet, document management and client relationship management. I both managed and developed systems to transfer data between the accounts system and various other systems such as time recording, document management and copy control. In particular, I managed the introduction into the firm of technology to charge both photocopying and printing back to the client.I also started web programming there.
