TechMet is a private investment vehicle focused on the supply chain of technology metals (lithium, cobalt, nickel, rare earths) that underpin the energy transition. We focus on mining, chemical processing, re-cycling and cathode / battery manufacturing. In 2020, the US Government became a shareholder in TechMet due to our strong alignment with US national interests. TechMet has a trading and supply chain management joint-venture with Mercuria Energy Trading focused on energy transition metals.

TechMet-Mercuria is a 50:50 JV between TechMet Limited and Mercuria Energy Trading, a physical trading, marketing and supply chain management platform focused on the battery metal and recycling supply chain.

Xerion has pioneered a new manufacturing processs to make high-performance batteries through the electroplating of active cathode materials on to foils. Xerion's batteries not only have superior performance but can use unrefined feedstocks as their primary inputs (i.e. Xerion does not need >99.9% pure "battery grade" lithium, cobalt and nickel chemical inputs). This radically reduces manufacturing costs and de-bottlenecks the most problematic part of the battery supply chain - refining battery raw materials into refined chemicals.

Energy Source Minerals has the leading western Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) technology, and is partnered with SLB and Arcadium Lithium to deploy our DLE technology. We are also building the first primary lithium project at the Salton Sea, California. TechMet is the largest investor in Energy Source Minerals.
