Assisting a fitter installing Ducting and Ventilation systems.Measuring, Marking and Cutting Ductwork.Reading and following technical drawings.Preparing brackets for suspending duct.Handling deliveries.Working at height.Altering ductwork.Testing ductwork. Fitting duct.I have been working a relatively small time with pro-duct but I am always ready to try something new and I have picked up the role quickly understanding what is required from me. I can be trusted to work alone with tasks and carry them out to the highest standards. I am still learning some aspects, but I've got the basics due to my previous job roles. I will always ask questions to further my knowledge about the way things work and processes that I'm unfamiliar with.I work away from home Mon-Fri and will occasionally take overtime at the weekends.I am good at prioritising my tasks and time to maximise my workload, whilst also learning a new skill set. I enjoy working away from home, travelling new places with new challenges is what I like the most. I would really like to progress into a higher role in the Engineering or Construction industry and put my vast knowledge and skillset to the test.

I am doing general labouring and also assisting the ground works and building structures for a major project on the A9

I served just short of 5 years in the royal engineers. I gained skills and qualifications which I have used in some of the most challenging and demanding situations. I have a city & guilds NVQ Level 2 in Fabrication and Welding, Level 2 Certificate in Engineering- Military Fabrication & Welding and also some functional skills qualifications. After training for a year as a soldier, combat engineer and semi skilled fab/welder I was sent over to Germany and lived there for 6 months where I passed my Cat B driving test and helped with the regiments move back to the U.K. During the moved back I participated in a group relay road cycle from Germany - UK and I cycled from Belgium to the south of England over a week staying at campsites across France taking on different responsibilities each day such as being a support driver on rest days planning and setting up camp and food for the riders. I deployed on exercises in Kenya where we put our combat engineering capabilities into practice ranging from Bridge building, Demolitions, Water purification, Basic construction, Force protection. After returning I enrolled onto my NVQ 3 Fab/Weld and did complete around 80% of the course but I was returned to my regiment due to injury. I went through 6 weeks of rehab and then immediately started pre deployment training for a 6 month UN mission in South Sudan. We were providing Engineering support for the U.N I took on a role of the Welding & Fabrication expert and this involved Setting up a Workshop area, Ordering materials, Managing tasks, Managing a small team. We had to work late nights in rotation to meet deadlines due to the Intense heat. I had to find a solution and show my plans to senior officers and the end result was always positive. Other construction tasks ranged from Digging irrigation, Building accommodation, Pouring concrete structures and Installing water pumps. I left shortly after to move back home with family.
