Support Design Engineering in design of SMART Grid and FTTH projects through the use of Trimble In-Sphere and IKE GIS programs. Quality control of in house field engineers for accuracy of information provided to engineering department. Be knowledgeable in OSP construction of both Aerial and Underground Plant. Understand and know how to resolve make ready issues. Review design and construction prints for accuracy. Oversee the construction of the FTTH project. Work with contractor to resolve any field issues. Insure that construction is in accordance to RUS, and NESC standards. Keep accurate redline field prints, track through established processes, production and materials for the purpose of verifying correct and accurate invoices.Train and develop new inspectors.Build a strong working relationship with Co-Op engineering department and provide educational information pertaining to fiber optic cable and its application.
