This refers to the interaction with oneself and one's environment. The therapist is considered part of the client's environment. The client interacts with the therapist as a whole, not just with the methods that the therapist knows, but with the therapist as a whole person. Everything the therapist does and is becomes part of the interaction with the client. Therefore, the therapist becomes the intervention.This forms the basis of PiT. The interventions, methods, scientific theories (such as the Relational Frame Theory), behavior analysis, interventions, methods, and even philosophy of science are all based on this principle. This means that all of this will help you in the interaction with your client.
