• Managed and led all activities to successfully sale and deliver metallurgical and thermal coal sales to steel mills and utilities in Mexico, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, Spain, France, Romania Bulgaria and others countries. Expand export sales to these countries to over 1 million tons annually which doubled sales of the company.• Negotiated barge, rail and terminal agreements for export coal sales.• Managed all coal inventories for export sales of coal which included blending various coals for quality demanded by a customer and profitability for the company.• Negotiated purchase and sales agreements for all metallurgical and thermal coal to insure both quality and profitability were achieved.

St. Petersburg, Florida And Lexington, Kentucky

• Responsible for all sales, production and engineering of Kentucky May Coal Company a wholly owned subsidiary of Electric Fuels which produced and sold approximately 750,000 tons on an annual basis.• Responsible for P/L for the company. Successfully implemented extensive cost savings programs to enhance profitability. The company as Electric Fuels’ first operation had positive earnings each year and led to further acquisitions by the company.• Negotiated contract mining agreements and supervised operations with suppliers to mine Kentucky May’s mining permits. Each operation was capable of producing approximately 400,000 tons annually.• Evaluated and recommended coal suppliers for Florida Power's Crystal River Plants. These suppliers collectively supplied 6.5M tons to the power plants via rail, barge and ocean going vessels.• Testified under oath in legal action against EFC and Kentucky May, which in each action led to positive results for the company.• Reviewed all mining plans of the contract miners to insure production met sales requirements.• Inspected operations to review compliance issues with regulatory agencies.• Successfully negotiated and managed all labor issues with Kentucky May employees and contract operations which resulted in no labor stoppages at this operation.
