I am the founder and Chief Executive Officer of professional cycling event management business Red Fox Cycling.In 2018, leaving behind the glamour of the City of London and the security of a well paid job in financial services, I made a tough decision to start a social enterprise. The (very broad and poorly defined) objective was to get people cycling. I didn't know where or how I would achieve this. Eventually, I found a gap in the market and chose the UK music festival industry. Audience travel to music festivals, with 90% of journeys made by car or camper van, is the most polluting component of running an outdoor weekend music event. Finally, a problem to solve.I created a pitch and started banging on the doors of festival organisers. By 2020, we had successfully partnered with 15 big name music festivals in the UK (from Wilderness to Green Man, Latitude to Boomtown) and, thanks to a phenomenal and dedicated team, have delivered organised cycle rides for thousands of cyclists. We have helped our partners cut emissions from audience travel significantly and have been lucky enough to be lauded and featured by the Metro, the BBC and the Telegraph for our contribution.Starting in 2021, re-igniting the network from my former life in professional services, we turned our attention to the corporate market. Our team now creates, organises and delivers bespoke corporate cycling experiences for energetic, high-performing businesses who want to create a strong, healthy, tight-knit culture for their employees and simultaneously raise money for charitable causes. No ride is too small. No ride is too large. It all makes a difference.Our next client is the magnificent G&E Partners. We will be taking 31 of their hard-working adventurers on a professionally organised 2 day cycle challenge from London to Amsterdam in May 2022, raising money for the housing and homelessness charity Shelter.Red Fox Cycling is built on partnerships.
