I have over 15 years experience in senior executive roles in the sports management and events industry. Key to each role has been working in partnership with key stakeholders across the commercial and government sectors to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes. Business commercial partners include the AFL, Cricket Australia, NRL, ARU, FFA, V8 Supercars, Tennis Australia, Surf lifesaving Australia and the PGA. Whilst State and Federal Government partnerships have been developed through DEFAT, DEEWAR, Trade Queensland, Tourism Queensland, Stadiums Queensland and associated departments.Whilst each of these organisations has very unique and specific delivery requirements including grass roots development, trade and economic development, cause related marketing, elite competition and infrastructure developement, my key roles and responsibilities in working in partnership with each organisation included the following: - Project manage and administer major event projects from development through to delivery. - Developing and delivery on strategy to engage with event organisers ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes. The key outcomes relate to financial performance, economic benefit, community consultation and engagement and marketing and promotion of the host destination. - Analysis and deconstruction/construction of budgets for projects. - Preparing and managing Government and ministerial communications, briefing and protocol. - Managing legal and contractual matters with key stakeholders including devleopment, managment or termination of agreements. - Working to ensure all aspects of corporate communications and commercial issues are managed for all internal and external stakeholders. - Liaison and working with councils, tourism offices and State and Federal Government offices on issues of financial contribution to key projects. - Report monthly through CEO and Board for the preparation and presentation of Board papers.
