I began my working career as a Baker in Palmerston North. After 14 years as a Production Supervisor, I decided on a new career path and challenge.For the next 25 years I was employed by the Prison Service. During this time I attained the rank of Principal Corrections Officer and also fulfilled secondments as a Unit Manager.With my background as an Instructor in Martial Arts, I seized the opportunity to provide training in Offender Management and enhance a safer work environment for fellow officers. I travelled extensively throughout New Zealand Prisons, training staff in this roll.In the final 10 years I worked as a Corrections Narcotic Detection Dog Handler. Firstly covering the lower North Island and then moving south to Canterbury to cover all of the South Island Prisons.My personal interests are Martial Arts, Hunting and Tramping and of course Dogs and their training.My past work experience has given me the passion and desire to be an active and proud member as part of the Operational Risk Management team for RMG
