I led diverse SIU teams investigating all-risks for over twenty years. Investigation for Property, Casualty, Commercial, Health, Injury, auditing and employee cases. Leading in multiple jurisdictions the investigation, evaluation, negotiation and defense of a wide range of claims and serving as corporate representative at trials, mediations and depositions. I’m also involved in hiring, training and mentoring of new team members. Collaborate regularly with internal departments to identify adverse risks and strategies for mitigation, holding weekly huddles and monthly staff meetings and participate on various committees to improve processes and streamline procedures. I hold full accountability for overall department performance and work to ensure everything we do aligns with the company’s vision and key objectives. A few of my more notable achievements are highlighted below. - Created highly effective tactics to identify and successfully respond to emerging market trends in Florida, such as shifting assets to injury or property based on indemnity trends.- Managed several high-profile claims, playing a pivotal role in numerous favorable court decisions and subsequent case law: Wong Ken v. State Farm (fraud in part/whole,) Saenz v. State Farm (immunity from malicious prosecution,) Rodrigo v. State Farm (decomposing corpse, made international news.- Hand-selected to speak about unique trends in claims at high-profile conferences including a CPCU commencement.- Board Member and presenter for Department of Financial Services Florida Insurance Fraud Education Committee. (FIFEC)- Received FBI Exceptional Service in Public Interest Award after delivering presentations at the FBI InfraGard Conference regarding unique risk exposures.
