Richard was Property Director for Burgundy who were Fund Managers for Alternative Investments through the highly successful medium of Gibraltar Experienced Investor Funds.During this period Richard and his co-directors successfully developed a strategy of acquiring uk assets at a comparatively favourable yield due to the lack of liquidity in the market at that time. In identifying this anti-cyclical investment the Burgundy team was able to promote a yield shift prediction that enabled investors an opportunity to multiply their equity in some circumstances over a relatively short period. In some cases the yield shifted by as much as 5% on investment grade property investments in six months.

Richard was the Property Director for AREF which was a UK Strategic Land Investment Fund. Richard identified and secured high profile land assets with massive growth potential for the fund which was successful in attracting a multi million pound anchor investment from a highly regarded South African banking group.

In 1993 Richard co founded a Small Family Office with friends and family to manage existing portfolios and acquire and develop new real estate assets . Eventually Richard was responsible for both creating and expanding a multi million pound property portfolio continually achieving annual growth of 20% + through smart acquisitions and creative asset management. During this period Richard also developed Metrobars a highly successful City Centre Bar and Hospitality business which was eventually sold in 2001 . In 2005 Richard organised the private sale of the property portfolio pre-crash and moved to Gibraltar where he is currently based.
