I have extensive and deep expertise in international business and organisations with wide-ranging experience in strategy, governance, risk and crisis management, building teams and managing complex global networks in addition to financial acumen based on client facing and senior/global leadership roles at PwC and other high-profile organisations. At PwC, my most recent role was on the international Global Assurance Executive Team on which I served for 5 years. As the Global Assurance Risk & Quality Leader I had responsibility for the network’s Assurance practice’s risk, quality, L& E, inspection, technical functions (accounting and auditing as well as a network-wide programme focused on culture and behaviour. Prior to this, I was on the UK Assurance Executive for 6 years and headed the firm’s Capital Market, Accounting Advisory and Structuring practice following 6 years in the firm’s corporate finance valuation practice, and a secondment to PwC Switzerland. I have had audit responsibilities as a partner on a number of FTSE 100 clients of PwC and led a number of capital market, bid defence and due diligence assignments including leading projects, in Europe, the USA, South America, Japan and India.I am the interim Chair of Save the Children in the UK and a Board member of Save the Children International and the Save the Children Association. was Honorary Treasurer of Save the Children in the UK from 2004 to 2015 and Chair of Merlin (Medical Emergency Relief International) from 2013 to 2016. I rejoined the Board of Save the Children in the UK in January 2020 as Honorary Treasurer and Vice Chair. I am also currently a Member of Council of Wycombe Abbey School and a Governor of the John Lyon Foundation and Sussex House School. I was a Trustee of the International Rescue Committee in the UK until 2023. I was appointed CBE for voluntary service to International Development through Save the Children and Merlin in the 2017 New Year’s honours.
