After graduating high school I was an apprentice machinist for 2 years then decided to see the world and joined the Royal Canadian Navy as a Hull Technician. Hull Technicians are highly skilled as Welders, Fabricators, Fitters, Structural Repair and Maintenance, Coatings, Quality Assurance Inspectors, Maintenance and Repair of Hotel Systems, Plumbing, HVAC, and Sewage Treatment Systems to name a few. We are also highly trained in Shipboard Damage Control and Helicopter Crash Rescue. I spent a number of years in Ottawa as a RCN Project Coordinator, assisting in the management of multiple 75 million dollar projects. This included work specification development and approval, as well as planning work with PWGSC Project Officers. My most rewarding position was as the East Coast Hull Training Chief at the Engineering School in Halifax. Teaching, Lesson Plan Development and overseeing the daily functions of the Hull Training Staff.My career spanned 30 years until my retirement in 2017.I started Armada Inspection Services in 2019. Based on our own experiences we realized that our area of Ontario was lacking reliable home inspection services. I am a Certified Home Inspector as certified by Dalhousie University. I am a Certified FLIR Level 1 Thermographer, as well as a Certified FLIR Thermographic Building Investigator. I have multiple Ontario Building Code courses completed as well. I have since added my OCRMI Radon Measurement Inspector certification as well as 3 Mould certifications. I am currently working on WETT certifications as well as 2 Red Seal certifications. In my spare time I like to be out in the garage working on my 1939 Plymouth and finishing my 1962 GMC Step Side.
