Richard believes in the design strength of architecture to inspire and realise sustainable, accessible and responsible urbanization in evolving global cities.Richard leads teams responsible for the design of complex and sustainable projects at diverse scales. From large master plans to mid-rise urban infill and in between, his commitment to an agenda of creative city building encompasses workplace, mixed-use and residential uses. These projects are known for driving commercial objectives and are frequently recognized for their design excellence.Richard is actively engaged in the development and design industry, as chair of the Canadian chapter of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat and past chair of the Urban Land Institute Toronto Outreach and Program committees. As a design advocate, he is currently a member of the Markham Design Review Panel and former vice-Chair of the inaugural City of Vaughan Design Review Panel. He has previously held the role of co-Chair of the Toronto Society of Architects and is a Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. He is licensed to practice architecture in most Canadian provinces and in New York State.
