In addition to ongoing classroom role:• Monitored and developed staff to improve outcomes across several key subjects, including modern languages and social sciences;• Had pastoral and behavioural responsibility for several hundred students, working with vulnerable and challenging students and their families to build relationships, secure engagement and attendance, and identify and devise appropriate bespoke strategies and solutions;• Led on whole-school project to drive aspiration, targeting appropriate students and increasing university and Russell Group applications;• Met daily as part of the senior leadership team to take strategic and operational whole-school decisions;• Worked closely with governors on whole-school strategy;• Drafted and reviewed whole-school policies and other documents for key stakeholder audiences, such as governors and parents;• Devised careers programme in line with statutory guidance;• Managed whole-school budgets, including pupil premium fund;• Delivered sessions to students and CPD to staff on a range of matters;• Led and supported junior staff on more serious behavioural and safeguarding matters;• Led HR meetings in line with policy and statute;• Reviewed whole-school data to identify additional need.
