About Richard Wright

Since 2012 I have been the Chair (2024-date) and Chief Exec (2012-2024) of Acre. I am also a primary investor in the business. Working closely with the Founder, Andrew Cartland, and more recently James Kelly, our goal is to ensure that Acre works with purpose and delivers impact by maintaining its position as the global leader in the crucial climate change, sustainability, environmental and climate tech recruitment market places. We are building our business out of four key global hubs - London, New York, Amsterdam and Singapore and have quadrupled our revenues over the past 4 years.As a consequence we are always hiring great consultants who genuinely want to make a difference - please get in touch if you would like to know more.Between 1994 and 2009 I was the Chief Exec building (with partners) the Accounting and Finance recruitment business - MWA - to 225 people / £50m turnover. In 2006 we sold the business to Randstad (MWA has now been rebranded Randstad Finance and Professional). I started my recruitment journey at Michael Page. I’m also currently a Board Advisor with the River Partnership, a Global Professional Services Executive Search business based out of London. I have a proven track record of building businesses and establishing brand positions, explicitly driven by quality, purpose and differentiation.
