Developed and built the FP&A function through to IPO including and subsequent needs as a public company including commercial accountability and planning while revenue grew by over $140M or 1,300% over 3 year period). Annual, plus rolling forecast, monthly business review, cost analysis, forecast appropriateness for external target setting, etc. Led FP&A team of 5 at peak. Heavily involved in setting commercial targets, tracking and reporting on progress to goals as well as partnering with Operations to ensure desired capacity. Restructured function to support evolving business model to assess 2 co needs while driving meaningful financial narrative to deliver cost management through various restructuring activities to right size org.During entire tenure responsible for oversight of Tax, Treasury (peak funds of nearly $900M), and Company-wide insurance including financial risk management. Led corporate banking platform transition including selection of banking partner appropriate for Company needs which enabled efficient transition away from SVB when their was the unexpected shutdown. Led the establishment of an international subsidiary to allow for EU product registration with minimal operating costs (selection of service provider).

Initial Finance and Accounting lead for the Company. Transformed and led the design to migrate from a bookkeeping approach to a financial operation function to enable company for operational and commercial growth. Designed and implemented internal controls, month end close, laboratory cost accounting, consistent and repeatable financial reporting including executive leadership, board and external parties, led financial diligence support for multiple capital raises, finance diligence and a significant acquisition (comparable size company) and subsequent integrations. Implemented critical systems including NetSuite ERP, Concur, Avalara, Planful (fka Host Analytics), Corporate Credit cards and hired the initial accounting staff.

Director of Financial Plannning & Analysis (FP&A).

Physio-Control was divested from Medtronic Inc early in 2011. I setup our own legal entity structure outside of the United States and to enable Physio-Control's own finance, accounting and tax functions in these entities. Around 25 new companies were incorporated and a tax strategy designed. This was followed by a roll out of our ERP system to these countries. I was hands on in the day to day tax and accounting of these entities. I was involved in logistics, customs and legal matters in addition to the accounting and tax.

Primarily responsible for the accounting and control functions including planning and forecasting, general ledger, SOX, accounts receivable, sales tax, fixed assets and intercompany. Reporting to the VP of Finance.Physio-Control is currently a division of Medtronic Inc, one of the worlds leading medical device companies.

This role supported sales operations, indirectly reporting the VP of Sales. Direct report was to VP of Finance. Key responsibilities were the accounting, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting of the US Sales operations including sales representatives, districts and other sales channels. Sales compensation plans design and planning. Support of sales organizational structure. During this time I also supported the marketing organization with various levels of sales reporting, business analysis product launches and pricing.

I completed five years as the manager in charge of accounting and reporting as the HQ of Physio-Control (a division of Medtronic). Key responsibilities were internal and external reporting, sales taxes, transfer pricing, accounts payable, payroll, systems implementation work (JDE and SAP), planning and forecasting, internal controls, people mentoring and training. I also played a key role in the International side of the business during this time including the integration of finance operations into Medtronic systems throughout the world. Supervision of up to 9 people. Reporting to VP of Finance.

Hands on European Controller role based in the UK and serving direct operations across most of Europe. Responsible for accounting operations, finance systems, financial reporting and taxation.

Worked at various levels with increasing responsibility. Most time was spent audit departments working with both small and very large ($1bn+) companies. Experience in owner managed, computers and software, retail and distribution. Reporting experience for the London Stock Exchange, NYSE and NASDAQ.Some assignments in non-audit roles including Corporate tax, Acquisitions and Forensic.
