Agerbeek & Assoc. was an ironically named 2-person start up ran out of a Lower Eastside New York tenement apartment. Equipped with only Power Macintosh 6100 and a borrowed copy of Adobe Photoshop 5.5 Richard Agerbeek and James Edgar Pogue Bell launched some of the first ecommerce fashion websites with image swapping, animated gifs, and even one of the very first “design-your-own” interactive product visualizers for Built by Wendy. Not only did we forge a path for many more web designers to follow we also represented illustrators and designed store interiors for brands like Label and Nylon Squid.
