Cyberglue was a pioneer in B2B web-native products and technologies including content management, commerce, elearning, eInsurance and emergency management. It later developed the popular MemberConnex product which became a leader in the membership management software market.I founded Cyberglue in 1998 with the vision of creating a whole new approach to the way business was being done online. Over the course of a decade, I led the company from a startup to an established, award-winning leader in its field with a customer portfolio representing many of NZ's leading companies.Being a startup, I took a leadership role in both the technical and business aspects of the company. The technical side involved being very 'down and dirty' writing significant portions of the software, designing and building the company's data centre, and leading the research into new products and technologies. As the company grew, my focus was primarily on building the team, guiding our technology, major account management, strategy and marketing.

I sold my company Monstar to ADC in 1997 and relocated to Houston to manage the transition and set the technology direction for the joint company.In this role I led the technology and product development, guided our global partnership with IBM, engaged in sales in the USA, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America, and represented shareholders as a Director.

Monstar Labs developed a groundbreaking new system for the automation of broadcasters - radio and television. StarTrax, the company's flagship product was the first in the world to enable radio stations to run fully automated, 24x7 from a fully digital network server environment. In 1994 we launched another global first by providing a single system that seamlessly managed a nation-wide network of 16 radio stations, all with fully automated local content insertion, all managed from a single network location.Monstar pioneered many new technologies in the fields of digital audio compression; realtime mixing, control of broadcast quality video streams for on-demand applications, highly optimized satellite communications, and distributed network synchronization.

Current Technologies Ltd (CTL) was a leading PC systems integration company focused on the SME market. I founded the company originally as a hardware repair centre for PCs, but rapidly expanded into network integration, software development, and full systems integration. Winning awards for our software, service, and even sales volumes, CTL grew to be a significant player in the Auckland market.Eventually the company's broadcasting software subsidiary, Monstar Labs, grew to dominate the company, and I sold the other businesses to focus on this larger, global opportunity.
