My practice is specialized in creating international tax structures for foreign investment in the United States (FIRPTA) and helping US clients do business overseas. I help minimize global income and estate tax for high net worth families. I also coordinate immigration and tax planning for inbound investors with the support of an excellent team of immigration professionals. My long-term affiliation and Board services with the TerraLex global legal network (TerraLex.org) provide personal access to and prompt service from law firms all over the world.I work with individual clients and their CPAs regarding the IRS Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Program and Streamline reporting for undeclared foreign accounts (FBAR FinCen FATCA) and activity. Background - I began my career as a CPA and still maintain my certification. After law school at the University of Florida, I went to New York University for their LLM in Taxation, focusing on international tax.Since that time all of my legal work has revolved around helping foreign clients enter the US and US clients investing and doing business abroad.As a teenager I attended the American International School of Kabul and traveled widely, particularly in the Middle East and India. By the time I was 16 I had traveled around the world unaccompanied. After working for PriceWaterhouse in Johannesburg, I traveled by truck the length of Africa to London. Against that background, I have spent my professional career serving international clients and a great deal of time overseas. Today Tampa, Florida is home (with many beautiful golf courses.....). My wife Lisa has a national executive coaching/career counseling practice.
