I manage a £200m+ budget for the full lifecycle of technology services, including managing relevant third party contracts and licences and drive initiatives to lower the cost of delivery and increase the quality of services in line with MoJ insourcing strategy and own our largest outsourced supplier service contracts.My role is to keep our core IT services secure and resilient to ensure the robustness of a number of live environments across a complex and varied technology estate and, providing 1st and 2nd line support and core operations to facilitate IT Service Management services (ITSM).I take ownership of on-going transformation across technology services to a service based model of delivery, including vision setting and leadership,process, governance and organisational change and significant culture and behavioural change across the function.I directly manage staff, contractors (over 200 FTE) and multiple third party contracts. I ensure correct deployment of people to meet agreed service levels within budget. Programme Director - Technology Transformation ProgrammeMinistry Of Justice Sep 2016 - Jan 2019This is the complete Infrastructure overhaul of the aged legacy environment and involves the replacement of End User Devices, Networks (WAN/LAN, Voice and Video), Print (Managed and Bulk) and all elements of Live Service and Service Integration. This is across the whole of the MoJ landscape including the Courts, Prisons, Probation Trusts and HQ and impacts over 100,000 users. The Programme has moved away from the traditional outsource System Integration model to a tower based specialist model that uses specialist suppliers to deliver core elements of the infrastructure.Since taking over the Programme I have established a focus on user needs and transforming Justice through the enablement of the Digitisation of Justice via new technology. This has been challenging and I have had to deal with significant internal and external pressures to achieve the goal of starting to upgrade the old Technology in late 2016 with the aim of completing the rollout by the end of April 2018. Notable Achievements• I reset the Programme to start delivering and we have delivered new devices and new networks and brought the delivery back on track. User feedback has been incredibly positive.• Baselined the finances and plans with the MoJ Executive Committee, Treasury and Cabinet Office.• Reset and Re-established the Leadership and Management of the Programme by adding experienced staff and specialist resources
