I am an Information Technology Specialist in the SE (Support Equipment) Department, PEO (U&W/JSF) PSE Division, F-35 SE Branch. As the ISSE (Information Systems Security Engineer), my responsibilities are providing cybersecurity support for SE programs and associated department National Laboratories. As a member of the JPO (Joint Program Office) SE Cybersecurity IPT (Integrated Product Team), I am responsible for developing, coordinating, and supporting cybersecurity packages for all F-35 support equipment, ATE (Automated Test Equipment), and/or STE (Specialized Test Equipment), including unit level, depots, and production facilities. The ATO (Authority to Operate) is an important designation/certification required to enable capability activation. I am currently accountable for the cybersecurity posture of 71 unique systems at 6 military base locations within the U.S. I ensure that the security requirements are in place/planned to meet the requirements to confirm a secured information system or PIT (Platform IT) system. I utilize the DOD RMF (Risk Management Framework) and A&A (Assessment and Authorization) processes ultimately to obtain and maintain an ATO or an ITSE (Information Technology Special Exemption) designation for both programs and labs. In doing so, I am responsible to manage and execute the department’s Cybersecurity capabilities including ACAS/SCAP (Assured Compliance Assessment Solution/Security Content Automation Protocol) scanning procedures, Cyber Software Assurance, Forensics and Incident reporting and development of Cross Domain Solutions.

Previously the Site Operations Lead, Base Operations Infrastructure Coordinator, Local ISSA/IA Operations and Local Element for NMCI/NGEN SIPR clients, under NAWCAD CA 253006, at the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ (NAVAIR), Fort Dix, NJ, Naval Weapons Station, Earle, Colts Neck, NJ, Naval Weapons Station, Leonardo, NJ, Naval Fire Training Station, Freehold, NJ and The Philadelphia Naval Business Center, Philadelphia, PA. Present responsibilities include the logistics of managing and coordinating new infrastructure for Naval facilities. Additionally I am responsible for data management of infrastructure as it relates to the NMCI/NGEN contract. I also provide management for multiple sites, of Field Service Teams for setup, delivery and troubleshooting of computer systems as well as fiscal year order modifications. I monitor contractor work and performance for infrastructure installation and operation as well as COR duties for CLIN 6AG Project move, add and changes under the NMCI/NGEN contract. As the local Information Assurance manager, I am responsible for managing risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of information or data and the systems and processes used for those purposes. As the Local Element my responsibilities require loading Taclanes using Simple Key Loader (SKL). Familiar with requirements of EKMS 1 addresses. Additionally I am the Administrative support for all LKHR Site Group SIPR seats under the NMCI/NGEN contract. Operating System Configurations include DOS, Microsoft Windows (2000, XP,Vista, 7), NT 4.0 server/workstation, Windows 2007 and 2010 Office Professional. Network connectivity configurations include Remote Access System (RAS), Dial-Up Networking and various networking protocols; TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, NetBEUI, and NetBIOS.

As Senior Network Administrator, I was assigned the responsibility of maintenance and support of a LAN/WAN network that consisted of a Windows NT network with a Novel 3.5 backbone, with the support of Microsoft Exchange servers locally and remotely. Key responsibilities included troubleshooting and fine-tuning the performance of LAN/WAN components, including Windows NT, Novel and MS Exchange Server. Duties also required reporting on the connectivity, memory utilization, network throughput, disk I/O, and message transfer performance across the enterprise using network management tools. Other duties included the acquisition of Training Systems Courseware for various applications used by company staff, the configuration of user accounts, hardware/software installation, the support of servers, desktop/laptop computers, and technical data systems. Additional duties required acquisition and managing the inventory of company wide support equipment, servers, personal computers and supplies, as well as planning and execution of desktop rollouts. Application support included; Windows NT 4.0, Windows 3.1, and Windows 95, Platinum accounting software, Reachout Remote communications software, MS Office Professional Suite, and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). I also managed the “Helpdesk” for 300 users nationwide.
