Alongside delivering commercially contracted, business, finance and project management services, to SMEs in the UK property sector, Spectrum provided strategic, development and management support, to individuals, community groups, charitable organisations and social businesses operating, predominantly, in the Midlands Region of the UK.

Appointed as founding CEO of Midlands Together CIC to lead a bond issue and subsequent launch of the business creating full-time employment for ex-offenders through the repair and renovation of empty properties. The bond issue of £3m was oversubscribed and closed after only 100 days. As part of the business launch I was responsible for developing partnerships and the design and implementation of systems and procedures later adopted by sister companies in Bristol and Glasgow; in particular introducing innovative and effective social impact measurement and reporting methods.The Company successfully completed four development projects under my stewardship creating employment for almost 20 ex-offenders,(none re-offended), eleven of whom have gone on to secure full-time employment within the construction industry.

Responsible for Business Planning, Finance Procurement, Site Acquisition, Management and Marketing of a highly successful independent Hotel group.Lead a team of 370 staff involved in the operation of the Company's two Birmingham city centre hotels providing a total of 695 bedrooms with extensive conference and banqueting facilities.Initially directly responsible, as General Manager, for day to day operational management of a new 250 Bedroom Conference and Banqueting Hotel with extensive Banqueting Facilities.Having brought the business into profitable operation after an initial period of three years mandated by shareholders to identify and explore expansion opportunities in key regional cities, delegating Operational Management to expanded Operations Team, whilst retaining responsibility for financial performance.Successfully identified and negotiated the purchase of Berkeley House Birmingham for £4.5m for conversion into 445 Bedroom Chamberlain Tower Hotel.Successfully identified and negotiated agreements to purchase properties in Bristol and London.Chamberlain Hotels was the subject of trade sale to Jury's Hotels in 2001 for £41.9m

Management responsibility, through local administrative support team, over portfolio of commercial facilities provided to UK and European clients involved in Property Development and Investment.
