Etoile Academy is a tuition-free, public charter school for students in grades 5 through 8 in Houston. We ensure that every student has the academic and character foundation necessary to succeed in high school, graduate from college, and pursue ambitious life goals.

• The Assistant Vice Chancellor and Assistant Vice President (“AVC/AVP”) of the Office of Equal Opportunity Services (“EOS”) provides leadership in the development, implementation, and administration of antidiscrimination initiatives within the University of Houston System – the fourth largest university system in Texas. The AVC/AVP functions as the clearinghouse for best practices in the area of diversity, affirmative action, and equal opportunity by designing strategies for ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, executive orders, and university policies that prohibit discrimination and sexual misconduct. As the chief affirmative action officer, ADA/504 and Title IX Coordinator, the AVC/AVP provides technical guidance and support to the University in designing policies, goals, change strategies, and awareness campaigns on equity issues for approximately 80,000 employees and students.

The Associate Managing Director for the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity assists with the day-to-day operation of the Office February 2011 and provides guidance to the third largest university system in Texas (approximately 18,000+ employees; 40,000+ students) with federal and state equal employment compliance mandates. Specifically, the Associate Managing Director is responsible for: Conducting formal investigations of all types including discrimination complaints; Providing responses to Charges of Discrimination by the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission, Texas Workforce Commission and other regulatory and investigative bodies; Conducting training for faculty, staff and students on the areas of diversity, affirmative action, and E.E.O; Developing affirmative action plans for Texas Tech University System, Texas Tech University, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
