I am a co-founder and the CEO of Reglagene. We specialize in the discovery and development of new orally administered therapies for the treatment of brain diseases. I have spent my career at the intersection of science and business. My passion for developing new treatments for patients with life-threatening disorders was sparked early on in my academic training, where I completed a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Texas.After completing my degree, I worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California at Berkeley, where I gained hands-on experience in Bioorganic Chemistry. This experience led me to join a leading pharmaceutical company, where I worked on several successful drug development programs across multiple therapeutic areas.With a deep understanding of the science and business of drug development, I co-founded Reglagene, with a vision of developing innovative therapies for patients suffering from brain diseases, the therapeutic sector in greatest need of innovation. In my role as CEO, I lead a team of scientists and business professionals, overseeing the company's research and development activities, as well as its strategic partnerships and fundraising efforts.Under my leadership, the company has made significant progress towards developing new treatments for a range of brain diseases, including primary and secondary brain cancers and Parkinson's disease. Our focus on oral therapies has the potential to revolutionize the treatment of these disorders, making it easier and more convenient for patients to receive the care they need.Overall, my experience as a scientist and entrepreneur has prepared me well for the challenges of leading a biotech company. Tech Launch Arizona moves University of Arizona inventions on a path to commercialization. I assist the University in taking strategic decisions on the disposition of its intellectual property.

Desert Angels is a Tucson, Arizona based non-profit organization of accredited investors who seek opportunities to invest in Southwest regional start-up or early stage companies. The organization serves as a forum for its over 100 members, who invest individually from their personal funds. Since 2000, Desert Angel members have invested over $27 million in more than 65 presenting companies. In addition to investing, I support the screening panel and assist with follow-up on life science deal opportunities.

Amistad y Salud is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that operates Clinica Amistad, a free clinic that delivers healthcare to the poor and uninsured of Southern Arizona through volunteer professionals and a network of consultants and service providers.Support Amistad y Salud through management of its financial activities.• Implemented new processes that reduced by 50% the role’s time burden in the face ofsignificant organizational change and strong growth.• Led an increase in private donations through the initiation of a new fund-raising event,improved donor communication, and a renewed fund raising perspective. Revenues were upseven-fold.• Implemented the organization’s effort to identify a new clinic facility and negotiated favorablelease terms with the City of Tucson.
