Field Engineer supporting all outage activities for the upgrade of six Moisture Separator Reheaters (MSR’s) during the Sequoyah U2R22 refueling outage. This work scope will remove and replace all MSR internal components per Thermal Engineering International (TEI) design and analysis scope. Project is scheduled to be critical path for the 28-day outage. Primary focus on field execution of all code, engineering and customer requirements, tracking work activities of 200+ crew members and addressing all technical issues during the field fabrication, final assembly and inspections.

Project types (Pulp Mill Production area) include: standard maintenance repairs, Advanced Process Control (APC) upgrades and improvements, to full Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) projects. Supporting on going online updates (short outage) through large, long-term capital projects; initial planning through field installation preparations.

• Prepare, review and implement design change notices and supporting 10CFR72.48 evaluations for nuclear license documents related to all existing licensed Spent Fuel Dry Storage products.• Initiate and manage all design change notices for fabrication drawings and specifications to support engineering analysis, customer and fabrication vendor requests in compliance with licensing and professional limitations.• Responsible for evaluating existing plant equipment and layouts to support the integration of new mechanical systems: site walk downs and project reviews at Department of Energy (DOE) sites: Savannah River Site, Hanford, Idaho, Sandia & Oak Ridge National Labs and many other foreign reactor sites for various DOE projects.

• Develop preliminary mechanical analysis to support formal structural, shielding and thermal engineering evaluations.• Optimize final product designs to coordinate remote installation, ease of operator interface and maintenance of in-service equipment.
