The Callide mine has a 70 year history of operation and has produced c.11mt per annum of thermal coal, which is supplied primarily to two Queensland state-owned power stations that generate approx. 18% of the state's electricity and other domestic customers. A significantly growing proportion of Callide’s production is also for export markets.
