My current role is working as a Patient Care Pharmacist rotating 7 nights on/7 nights off in this large regional teaching hospital. My primary duties are those of the Pharmacist in Charge. In addition to large volume CPOE order verification via Epic for 4+ years, and previously Cerner , for 4 years, I am an actively involved Clinical Pharmacist. I spend a large portion of my time initiating and managing “Pharmacy to dose" orders including aminoglycosides, anticoagulants, antibiotics, anticonvulsants and any other medications requested by the Medical staff. In addition to order verification and clinical functions, I also supervise and participate in the delivery of medications to automated dispensing machines. My goal always is to provide great customer service to our nursing, mid-level and Physician staff by both providing real-time drug utilization information and consultation services. I supervise USP 797 IV compounding and am yearly recertified to mix.

In this small but active rural Hospital, I worked as the lead Pharmacist. Under the leadership of our Pharmacy Director, I was responsible for opening and closing the Pharmacy each day and performing all duties required to operate a very successful combo hospital/LTC pharmacy which included filling medication cards for 84 nursing home residents residing on campus. In addition to processing orders via Meditech, I was responsible for all clinical functions which included dosing and following all "Pharmacy to dose" orders, consulting with the Hospitalist team, and providing real-time nursing education on proper medication administration and storage. I supervised all USP 797 IV compounding and recertification. I was the Preceptor to IPPE and APPE students from UGA. Daily I worked with Meditech, Omnicell, CSOS and Cardinal Health Order Management System RxE-View. From 2011 until Aug 2014 I worked full time. From 2014 until November, 2021 I worked here as a PRN Pharmacist filling in for vacations and openings in the schedule.

I worked at this well-known North Georgia regional heart hospital as an evening Pharmacist working 7 on/7 off. I was responsible for large volume order entry via McKesson's Horizons Meds Manager utilizing fax imaging software with dual-screen monitors. I was a very active Clinical Pharmacist dosing and following all "Pharmacy to dose" orders including aminoglycosides, warfarin, antibiotics, anticonvulsants plus any others requested including neonates and pediatric patients. I maintained yearly certification to mix chemo and non-chemo IV products in a USP 797 clean room/chemo room. I worked on a weekly rotation as a unit-based Pharmacist actively serving patients, nursing and Medical staff from either the Oncology Satellite, Critical Care Satellite or Main Pharmacy

Floated between two local Walgreens locations providing weekend coverage. Daily worked with Intercom Plus.

I was hired to revitalize an established but stalled out retail Pharmacy business. I managed a staff of two Pharmacists and 6 technicians. I was responsible for all day-to-day operations that included workflow organization, billing, invoicing, training, hiring and disciplining of staff. I was able to increase the prescription fill volume from 800 per week to more than 1200 per week in only 10 months as manager. By closely working with the main store Manager to build a strong customer base and loyalty , we were able to receive the 100% bonus award for that year.

Co-managed this retail Pharmacy filling on average 100 prescriptions per day. I worked in tandem with the other Pharmacy Manager to perform all day-to-day operations. Worked daily with PDX Pharmacy operating system.

I was hired as a brand new Pharmacist and earned the chance to open and Manage my first retail Pharmacy. I was responsible for all day-to-day functions including working to build a stable customer base, billing and invoicing, and working with the main store Manager to meet budget and staffing goals. Daily I worked with PDX and ran the cash register.
