I set up River Studio in 1990 and have worked as a professional photographer in Birmingham since graduating in 1986. I am now based in a fantastic 1345 sq foot studio in Aston . I work as a commercial and advertising photographer, for advertising agencies, design companies and directly with many diverse businesses; shooting people, products and places . I have over the last few years begun to do a lot of photography for "the creative and performing arts" This has included work for musicians ,dancers, theatres and performers, including a major campaign for the CBSO and ongoing publicity and marketing photography for Birmingham Royal Ballet. I shoot in the studio or on location..anywhere..I have worked in 7 countries so far. I also shoot and tour exhibitions ; This England, a study of English Subculture toured for over 3 years to 14 galleries ; from Mayfair to North Shields, it was part sponsored by Kodak which led to a trip out to Los Angeles and on my return I became a visiting lecturer for them . Still Dancing my second exhibition open the door to the Birmingham Royal Ballet and other dance related shoots.
