He qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2005 and has since accumulated considerable experience advising both occupiers and investors on a wide range of commercial property matters. His primary focus over these years has been providing valuation advice on a wide range of property types and for a broad variety of purposes, including: secured lending, probate, acquisition and disposal of freehold and leasehold interests, commercial and residential development appraisal, Charity Act valuations, overage provision assessments, etc. He also has experience in dealing with commercial lease events including rent reviews, lease renewals and break options.Richard also takes a lead role in the development of new business and management of existing client relationships.Key skills and experience:- A chartered surveyor with a strong technical, managerial and business development track record.- A natural instinct to challenge and rethink traditional approaches of delivering commercial property advice.- Focused on clarity and championing the use of plain English.- A belief that in order to give good advice you must first understand the client’s business.- Organised and efficient, leading and managing teams on a wide range of projects.- Collaborative approach with a strong track record of constructively working with others both inside and outside Eddisons Taylors.- Commercially minded, always taking the bigger picture into account when giving advice and developing strategies.- Develops lasting client relationships based on trust and consistent service delivery
