Generalist equity research analyst within the Sustainable European Equity team where I hold responsibility for ~40% of portfolio companies. The team runs two Article 9 funds with a high conviction (~30 stocks), fundamental investment philosophy and a long-term investment horizon (3-7 years). Responsibilities:• Mandated to carry out in-depth fundamental analysis of European companies, seeking to identify high quality and sustainable stocks going through positive fundamental change.• Conduct rigorous bottom-up analysis of key value drivers, business models and potential investment risks. • Produce in-depth research reports and gather information through extensive desk research, dialogue with other analysts and attending conferences. • Undertake thorough ESG analysis and engage with portfolio companies on their sustainability objectives. • Develop strong investment cases capable of withstanding detailed scrutiny and present proposals to the team and senior management based on cogent and sound reasoning. • Engage in debates and address challenges as part of the rigorous approval process for entry into the high conviction and concentrated portfolio.• Regularly evaluate the ongoing financial and operational performance of investments.
