Core Accomplishments:Education: Designed and teach a course at the graduate level and provided instruction to students in a highly competitive & very successful Homeland Security Masters Degree program.Operational Planning: Planned and executed operational logistics and distribution of over 10,000 pieces of military combat equipment throughout Afghanistan. Responsible for 41,000 personnel and a 500 million dollar budget in Afghanistan. Homeland Security: Senior coordinator for DoD on matters pertaining to homeland security and disaster response in support of civil authorities for North Dakota, South Dakota, Colorado, Montana, Wyoming and Utah. Established & maintained partnerships through several venues with federal and state homeland security professionals. Distribution Management: Planned and coordinated a strategic level distribution system in support of the military forces operating in Afghanistan.Financial Management: Successfully calculated and executed annual budgets for large organizations up to $500 million. Effectively restructured inventory and cost saving processes and designed accurate accounting systems for over 10,000 pieces of military equipment. Contract Management: Supervised performance based contracts for several large contractors. Redesigned and implemented an acquisition system in Afghanistan to oversee all contracted new equipment systems.Business Processing Reengineering. Pioneered the development of a velocity management system to reduce order and ship time and repair cycle time for processing repair parts that was put into effect throughout the Army.
