    During this time we (Test Management Services Team) developed and implemented a true Release Planning and implementation process which went well beyond just running tests. Using Application Life Cycle Management - ALM - (at the time called Quality Center) we developed a true repository of Unit, Integration, Regression, and Performance Test cases. Over time we moved from primarily running manual test cases to running primarily automated tests using a mix of QuickTest Professional and LoadRunner, all planned, monitored, and reported out in a single repository and presented at regular meetings where all were held responsible.Defect tracking went from post-it notes and excel spreadsheets to being monitored and reported out in ALM.This was the period where we truly distinguished ourselves as a Test Management team, not testers.
