Worked as a contractor on a project that takes large volumes of data (gigabytes per minute) from various probes on the data network and distills it into usable data for Network Operations dashboards and research studies. Using a combination of Perl and custom C applications I loaded the data into a proprietary database engine and extracted summarized data for loading into Oracle for use by customer service representatives.
