Registered professional electrical engineer, experienced executive and energy system consultant. His achievements include founding Applied Power Technologies, Inc and building it into a successful systems integration firm. He is a senior member of IEEE and has served in all officer positions of the Silicon Valley Chapter of the IEEE Power & Energy Society. He has worked over 30 years helping customers achieve resilient energy efficiency. In 1994, Mr. Celio started Applied Power Technologies to help utilities and industries reduce electrically related losses primarily through the application of state of the art power management technology. He has been the principal engineer involved with integration of large scale power management systems at numerous locations including Stanford University, Sun Microsystems, Lockheed Martin, Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, State of California, County of Santa Clara and major Data Centers.In addition, Mr. Celio was on staff at De Anza College for 10 years teaching electrical power systems courses for the Energy Management Technology Program within the Environmental Studies Department.Prior to starting APT…Mr. Celio worked for PG&E as an energy engineer analyzing energy and demand management strategies for large commercial and industrial facilities. He also led the first power quality improvement program at the utility. Mr. Celio was Director of Training at Basic Measuring Instruments developing and teaching courses in power systems and the application of state of the art instrumentation for analysis of complex power problems. Mr. Celio opened an office for Sirrine Engineers to service a Power Quality management contract with EPRI and expand the west coast business opportunities.
