Joined Charles Taylor Insurance Services (CTIS) as Director Strategic Business Planning and Development in April 2013.CTIS is an independent provider of outsourced managed claims services, broking and underwriting services, financial accounting services, and MGA services to the Lloyd’s, London and global insurance markets.I am responsible for planning and implementing business strategies and have a key role in helping CTIS to deliver its ambitious plans for growth in its core business and for developing new areas of operation. Particular areas of focus include:• MGA services - building on and expanding the outsourced MGA Service launched by CTIS in 2012CTIS provide all the operational and administrative functions independent underwriters need to launch and operate their own MGA in an environment independent of brokers and insurers. The MGA Service enables independent underwriters to be the owners of their own insurance businesses, without being locked into long-term employment contracts or joint venture arrangements. We provide flexible fee arrangements to assist start-up MGAs in the early years. Our services include: ■Business set up ■Policy production and administration ■Premium collection ■Claims management ■Compliance and legal services ■Financial accounting and reporting• Broking and underwriting services - providing outsourced support and managed services to enable buyers, underwriters and brokers to focus on their core business. Includes Insurance and Reinsurance programme reviews, internal audit, claims management , coverholder management, accounting and policy production services.• Managed claims services - providing managed claims services, including the management of complete books of reinsurance claims, for both live insurance business and closed insurance books in run-off as well as static claims at Lloyd’s. Includes bespoke claims management, portfolio analysis, run-off and legacy services.
