They say life is a marathon and not a sprint and during my journey I have managed to re-invent myself several times over. I started importing American Leather Jackets into the UK distributing them to upmarket independent retailers gaining recognition in the fashion press as one of the coolest products around.I moved to Hong Kong and joined Nike to promote their Soccer apparel across the whole of Asia Pacific, culminating in the successful launch and implementation of their 1998 World Cup range. Itching to do something more entrepreneurial I opened up an Asian computer parts trading office and built a USD25m business within 5 years, employing 10 staff. Working within 11 countries in Asia Pacific I managed to build long term client and supply relationships as well as securing preferential logistics support from freight forwarders and airlines.With the model coming to its conclusion, I went on to co-found and manage an online lifestyle media platform in Hong Kong. Being a print dominated market, we were able to completely disrupt the market promoting SME’S, brands and government organisations with a multi packaged solution. Localiiz has now become the largest online English media platform in Hong Kong. We were acquired by a large local media company.Returning to London a few years ago I have worked for a large care charity and an electronic component distributor building relationships across the organisation and with corporate clients. Alongside this I have become an advisor and mentor to London startups.With huge diverse experience internationally, I have managed to launch, grow and build a multitude of businesses through opening doors, cultivating relationships, and providing an exceptional service within the b2b and b2b2c space.
