This role involves the delivery of high quality training to an audience of 16-25 year old Apprentices. The areas delivered range from technical IT subjects to customer service and soft skills. As part of the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship, Key or Functional Skills, Employee Rights and Responsibilities along with Employability Awards have also been delivered. Apprentices within the Training Centre achieve Level 3 IT Theory and Level 3 IT Competency awards alongside Key or Functional Skills. Entwined in the programme are many professional level qualifications from the likes of Microsoft, CompTIA and Hewlett Packard.Additional roles voluntarily covered are acting Senior Trainer mentoring new trainers and contractors across several centres, Functional Skills Leader at the Training Centre and contributing materials towards the Curriculum Development Team that are now used nationally. Most recently aiding the Facilitators in completing work based visits and evidence collection. Network Manager LEA Jul 2003 – Jun 2007This role involved the management of a team of technicians and all aspects of cross platform academic networked systems and domains. Also the purchasing, installation and rollout with a continued maintenance support of systems in multiple locations. Additional roles voluntarily covered included training for staff and members of the public and governing boards completing New Opportunities Funded (NOF) ICT Training for teaching staff and the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL).
