"Hacking may be a hobby, but programming is a skill, and leadership is a character!"With over 30 years of programming experience, spanning 5 industries, and over 500,000 lines of robust, reliable, and efficient code, I have run the gamut of programming with everything from 2D models, to Electronic Work Instructions, to Regulatory Financial Planning, to HealthCare Profiling. My strength is accounting for the "what ifs", the not so obvious scenarios that separate the robust and stable, from the mediocre and fragile. I have been called visionary by some, and ambitious by others. That is not because I always have the best idea, but because I can recognize the best idea when I see it and pursue it to completion.Not another for-loop. Sure, embracing new is good, when it is truly better in terms of execution speed, testability, readability. I owe the longevity in my career to being willing (blood, sweat, and tears) to invest in new techniques, frameworks, and languages. I am not the fastest kid on the block, but as the saying goes "slow and steady wins the race". Tenacity, hunger, and pride continue to be the hallmark of my work ethic. I won't shy away from a challenge. If it is attainable, achievable, and feasible, I will give it my best shot. Last but certainly not least, I believe there is room for everyone to contribute, learn, and encourage. Collaboration, cooperation, and patience are all keys. My success has been marked by this attitude and it is what I bring to every company I work for.
