From farming to finance, real estate to a U.S. patent holder, Rich Jarvis has demonstrated that success doesn’t come from a lack of challenges but the capacity to deal with them. Growing up on a farm in Meridian, Idaho, Rich learned the value of hard work early in life, and the highlight of his childhood was launching his first real business in hauling hay for local dairy farmers. Rich earned an M.B.A. from Boise State University on a Pathway to Innovation scholarship and obtained an Executive Leadership certificate from Cornell University. He’s integrated his business ownership and entrepreneurial background with 25 years in management and 14 years in the financial industry as a lender, insurance broker, financial services consultant, and product manager for a fintech company. Even Rich’s pilot experience has taught him fundamental business skills. From a sky-high vantage point, he discovered how to literally and figuratively navigate through any circumstance, make course corrections when necessary, and trust the data.Rich’s real estate interest was piqued when he rented out his first home in 2003. He’s since bolstered his knowledge by reading hundreds of books on business and real estate and working with real estate funds by sourcing and underwriting properties. Rich brings notable distinction, including acquiring $39M in new business, garnering top-ten producer and national recognition within his first full year in his financial services practice, and patenting the Electronic Personal Record, a secure information sharing platform delivering control of data back to the consumer.
