As founder and CTO, I addressed a need to better manage assets in large companies by developing the Spansive Asset Intelligence Platform. The platform enables key stakeholders in a company to gain real-time insight into the disposition of their fixed assets allowing them to meet SOX compliance, reduce loss and control cost. The platform used RFID technologies (active and passive) to tag and track assets linking this information with fixed asset systems.Acquired by a private investment group in 2009.

As a technical product manager, I developed a comprehensive Workflow and Business Process Management strategy for Westbrook products and solutions. I lead the design and delivery of a robust BPM feature set for Fortis SOA, a .Net SOA based Westbrook Technology Electronic Document Management product. I forged strategic partnerships with key technology providers (OpenSpan and BlueSpring) to rapidly bring an integrated solution to market. To ensure rapid delivery, I implemented Agile SCRUM for a development organization of 20 on shore and 10 off shore resources.

As head of Product Development, I lead a team of 20+ engineers in the design, development and delivery of the Metaserver Business Process Management platform through three major and two minor releases across a two-year period. To meet market demand, I forged numerous technology partnerships including SEAGULL Software, ILog, IWay, Data Direct and ItemField to augment solutions and gain access to markets. Defined and implemented an Agile SDLC supporting rapid development and delivery of quality products. Identified outsourcing opportunities and managed projects with consultants and contractors to ensure effective utilization of resources.

As a technical manager, I was responsible for the re-design and implementation of the Metaserver product leading to the release of Metaserver 3.0, a feature rich product that established Metaserver in the Business Process Integration market. I led the complete re-design and implementation of the Metaserver Modeling Environment to ensure a high degree of usability resulting in the receipt of several awards for innovation and quality (Connecticut Technology Council, Sun Microsystems). I led the design and implementation of a flexible product architecture enabling rapid implementation of enhancements in response to market and customer demands resulting in significantly reduced development efforts to integrate new product features. I grew a dynamic and successful engineering organization from 4 to 15 through recruiting and training efforts. I managed product development cycles from design, through implementation and testing to rollout.
