*Over three decades of banking and golfing experience!* ~ The day after high school I was fortunate enough to land a summer job in the cash control department at the Cedar Point amusement park. I literally handled millions of dollars in cash on a daily basis. In addition to the great experience I gained in accounting, cash control, scheduling, operations, and other areas, I played Monopoly with real money, threw a football made from a brick of hundred-dollar bills, and dried wet cash by spreading it on the floor. The next step on my financial path was to be hired at a credit union, introduced to me by a fraternity brother. It's in this area where I've spent over thirty-five years. Starting out as a teller, working my way through cashier, vault teller, loan processor, loan officer, credit card specialist, credit card security officer, IT/data processing employee, core software installer/trainer/support representative, branch manager, branch operations officer, VP collections, compliance officer, BSA Officer, and to my current role as vice president/chief operations officer. During the same length of time I've been a golfer. After years of hacking around I decided to focus on learning the rules. This trial emphasized most golfers, regardless of proficiency or length of time playing the game, are not properly trained on the rules nor etiquette. So I embarked on the process of writing, publishing, promoting, and marketing books to solve this dilemma through humorous stories. Thus the birth of The Golf Rules series and my presentation and speaking events. Today, I continue to love and do all of these items regularly.
