Primary responsibility to deliver IAG strategic priorities related to the Future Of Work program. This included staff work-from-home introduction; work-from-home service management and integration with other IAG business function areas.

Jointly responsible for the successful rollout of Microsoft Office365 and Windows10 technology upgrades to IAG NZ’s 3500+ staff. This required executive and senior stakeholder management, daily decision-making and team member development and guidance to ensure continuous and successful progress and delivery.

Primary lead for IAG NZ Mobility and Collaboration including mobile phones, tablets, Video Conferencing, Unified Comms and other collaboration tools. Working with internal and external service providers to ensure maximum service up-time, I delivered integrated systems that enabled mobility to keep stakeholders digitally connected. I was instrumental in growing IAG NZ VC capability by 33% over 2.5 years while upgrading core software and hardware.

The Business Partner role provided a conduit between the Business leadership teams of State Insurance and the technical/engineering teams within the wider technology team at IAG NZ. Managing an annual budget upwards of $500k, I was tasked with prioritising, tracking and delivering conflicting Business IT change requests to ensure internal and external stakeholders, as well as State’s end-user public customers, experienced the best possible outcomes.

IAG’s SDM role required management of State business unit change requests and identification, development and delivery of innovative customer solutions. Operating within a recently upgraded insurance IT system environment, I successfully collaborated with State’s leadership and development teams to build new engagement procedures to facilitate efficient delivery of value-add solutions via structured change management processes.

During this period I took a secondment opportunity within the closing stages of a large-scale cross-Tasman project replacing State’s insurance system. Working with internal and external providers I jointly identified and delivered solutions to customer data transfer challenges working to critical and immovable deadlines.

This role required me to understand, breakdown and rebuild NZI’s insurance policy wordings. This required collaboration with policy specialists, marketing staff, internal and external legal experts and business unit owners. This is where I honed my attention-to-detail and critical eye skills.

This was an entry-level role at IAG (NZI initially) and introduced me to the ground-level world of consumer insurance in New Zealand. Working rolling 7-days shifts I successfully helped hundreds of NZI customers with general sales and service queries via email and telephony contact.
