MeediOS is a multithreaded application with a plugin architecture that hosts a vast array of plugins. Assumed an increasing leadership role regarding software product lifecycle needs and direction:Redeveloped MeediOS's default media players (sound, music, images, and video) and designed a simple model for third party development.Redeveloped and dramatically simplified MeediOS's gateway application and media browsers.Introduced a menu system simplifying and standardizing consumer interaction with the application and third party implementations of custom menus.MeediOS transitioned from .Net Framework 2 to 3.5 and recently from 3.5 to 4.5.2. During this transition, LINQ replaced many of our expensive loops. These and other performance enhancements resulted in a tenfold increase in stability and performance.Authored and debugged code as needed before final QA tests.I actively collaborated remotely with globally diverse developers, testers, and users. For example: France, Germany, Croatia, Australia, and Sweden.I advocated for the use of patch files and encouraged participation by all level-of-ability users. This shift created two benefits for the community: 1) debugging code is much simpler with a smaller stack and 2) code can be tested, shared, and examined by many users thereby promoting sustainability of the project.
