I am a trial attorney. I represent people harmed by the negligence of others and insurance companies in subrogation matters. My personal injury and wrongful death practice includes motor vehicle and truck collisions, auto-pedestrian collisions, medical malpractice, industrial and workplace accidents, sexual abuse by clergy, and maritime litigation. My subrogation practice involves representing both domestic and foreign property and casualty insurance companies in subrogation claims after catastrophic losses in industrial facilities, plants, and refineries. I have been practicing law since 1991. For the first 19-20 years, I was a partner and associate at law firms primarily representing defendants in personal injury/insurance defense, commercial, residential and commercial construction, and insurance litigation. During that time, I also represented plaintiffs in personal injury and employment litigation. I then spent nine years with two different plaintiff's law firms, exclusively representing injured people. I started The Fass Law Firm, PLLC, in 2019 and became a partner in Zabel Freeman in 2020.I am Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, rated AV Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell, have consistently be named a Texas Monthly Super Lawyer, and am a proud member of the American Board of Trial Advocates.I received my Bachelor of Arts in Government and Economics from the University of Texas at Austin, before attending South Texas College of Law. During my studies there, I participated in moot court and mock trial. I received my Juris Doctorate in 1991 and became licensed to practice law in Texas that same year. I became licensed to practice law in New Mexico in 2016. I am also licensed to appear before the United States District Courts for the Southern, Northern, Western, and Eastern Districts of Texas.In my spare time, I enjoy playing golf and exercising. I have served for many years as a volunteer at the Houston Open and on the Board of Directors of the Gulf Coast Chapter of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. I am a member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Barbecue Cook-off Committee. My wife, Paige, and I have a son, a daughter, and a Labrador Retriever.
