I approach client’s problems bringing to bear experience I have gained from more than 25 years practice. At a high level my areas of focus (and passion) are regulatory investigations, enforcement and the resulting litigation. At a more detailed level, I advise on bribery and corruption, market conduct that is regulated by the Corporations Act and Competition and Consumer Act, and conduct that falls foul of corporate governance standards. This has covered conduct such as insider trading, market misconduct, payments for influence and fraud.I have stood with clients during the difficult experiences of compulsory examinations and the execution of search warrants – and handled the processes that follow. I have designed and managed independent internal investigations for clients, running alongside regulator investigations.I have acted for government regulators, listed entities, professional services firms and C-suite individuals, in industries covering financial services, media, FMCG, technology and professional services.I read as much as I can – regulators co-operate internationally and keeping a finger on the pulse of what happens elsewhere is imperative, and I write to keep clients informed of what’s coming around the corner.
